ABT - The Anamallais Bus Transport Ltd.
Sri.P.Nachimuthu Gounder founded ABT - "The Anamallais Bus Transport Limited", a passenger transport company on 28.8.1931 at Pollachi, in Tamilnadu. The company had grown with 150 buses in 110 routes around Coimbatore region. The company earned goodwill, reputation and trust from the people and "A B T" brand is built in the market as a strong brand. "A B T" is a trusted brand and is an asset to the Group. In 1972, Tamilnadu Government nationalized the buses.
ABT Limited
The company has been renamed as "ABT Limited". ABT's divisions are dealing in various business activities.
ABT Bus Service
Still the company is having a few bus routes in Coimbatore- Pollachi region and operating buses in the name of "ABT BUS SERVICE".
ABT Parcel Service
Being a great visionary, Dr.N.Mahalingam, our Chairman, felt for diversification. Under his guidance, Sri A.V.Giri started "ABT PARCEL SERVICE" in 1964. Today, the company has about 500 own trucks carrying 1 crore articles weighing 2,20,000 tons worth Rs.3,500 crores every year. We have a network of 500 agents, who are very reliable and trust-worthy. This division is providing employment to 2,000 people directly and 5,000 people indirectly. ABT PARCEL SERVICE is operating in Tamilnadu, Pondy, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra, Maharashtra, Goa and Gujarat. The trucks are provided with latest technology for effective tracking through satellites.
ABT Info Systems
ABT Info Systems is providing IT Solutions to many business houses and the company also has an Internet Data Centre - A World Class Facility.
ABT Pump
In 1982, the company has started a division ABT Pump for dealing in Bharat Petroleum Products in Coimbatore .
ABT MARUTI
Dealers for Maruti Udyog Limited In 1984, we have started a new division under the name "ABT MARUTI", dealership for Maruti Udyog Limited, the country's top selling car manufacturers. This is one of the oldest dealers network in the country. The division is having 5 new car showrooms, 16 workshops and 4 true value outlets in Tamilnadu. About 8,000 Maruti Vehicles are being sold and 1,50,000 vehicles are being serviced per annum by these outlets. This division has sold about 1,00,000 new cars so far. There are more than 2,000 people working in this division. They are providing 24x7 services in these outlets.
ABT Wind Energy
The division has 35 wind mills in Muppanthal area near Nagercoil in Tamil Nadu producing 200 lakhs units of electricity per year.
ABT Exppress
In the post economic liberalisation era in India , the goods transportation sector is emerging with more scope to provide various value additions as the customers' demands are highly increasing. The role of goods transport sector is enlarging as Logistics Service providers, Supply Chain Managers etc. With this objective, "ABT Exppress" has been started in 2002 with two products, Speed Courier and Speed Cargo. "ABT Exppress" is providing special customized services to the clients in courier and cargo segments.
ABT Two Wheeler
We have started the two wheeler dealership for the Indian version of the world class Japaneese SUZUKI Motor Cycles in Chennai in 2006.
